Archival Resources

Throughout its history, the Library has acquired selected dealer archives and photograph holdings a majority of which are integrated into the Photoarchive. Some of the notable galleries for which archival collections remain intact and preserved at the Frick include Coe Kerr Gallery, Peter H. Davidson Gallery, and the Daniel B. Grossman Galleries.

In addition, many photographic archives of other institutions have been acquired including a large gift of photographs from M. Knoedler & Company (more than 18,000 photographs and transparencies) and the Museum of Modern Art's Photo-file (47,000 photographs).
