Directory of Archives Relating to the History of Collecting in America

A database of dealer and collector archives has been established to consolidate information about repositories, dealers, collectors, and dealer archives (including dealer photograph archives). This online resource will require collaboration and constant updating and its relevance and reliability will depend on staying current with acquisitions and changing access policies. This tool will provide essential information for scholars working in the fast-growing field of the history of collecting. In the winter of 2007-08, colleagues with special interest in the creation and use of the Directory will be called together to critique the content selection and format, as well as develop guidelines for collaboration.

A Bibliography on Art Collecting in America

This bibliography will be a natural by-product of the academic program and symposium papers. It will develop gradually and be updated regularly.
