The Frick Collection welcomes visitors to its galleries and invites their participation in a wide array of education programs. All programs seek to deepen the public's knowledge of and appreciation for the collections of the Frick. Visitors may choose to attend scholarly lectures on scheduled Wednesday evenings, afternoon gallery talks every other Friday, and conversations in the galleries on Sunday mornings. All programs are free with museum admission.

Monarchy and Empire: The Hispanic World of Jonathan Brown
Sir John Elliott, Regius Professor Emeritus of Modern History, University of Oxford

This lecture is part of the Artists, Poets, and Writers Lecture Series an it is the keynote address of "The Hispanic World of Jonathan Brown," a two-day symposium jointly presented by The Frick Collection and the Institute of Fine Arts, New York University, in honor of Jonathan Brown, Carroll and Milton Petrie Professor of Fine Arts, New York University.

No RSVPs are necessary. Seating is limited and will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Additional seating with audio-visual feed will be available in the adjacent room.

The Artists, Poets, and Writers Lecture Series is made possible through the generous support of the Drue Heinz Trust.

Gallery Talks

The gallery talks are held at 4:30 on the first and third Friday of each month from September through May. Each twenty- to thirty-minute presentation will highlight a single work from the Frick's permanent collection or special exhibition. The talk on the third Friday of the month is sign-language interpreted. Reservations are not required.

Gallery Conversations at The Frick Collection (Summer 2008)

The Frick Collection is pleased to offer Gallery Conversations for the public on scheduled Sundays in July and August. Participants will study and discuss selected masterpieces in the galleries of The Frick Collection. Conversations led by Rika Burnham, Head of Education, The Frick Collection.

Sundays at noon. July 13, 20, 27 August 10, 17, 24.

The Gallery Conversations are free with museum admission but reservations are  necessary. Please send an e-mail to galleryconversations@frick.org to request a reservation.

On Sundays you may pay-as-you-wish between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.
