  Acoustiguide Audio Tour
Devices available for listening

The Acoustiguide Audio Tour, our random-access digital audio guide that offers recorded information about the masterpieces on view through a handheld listening device, is t-coil compatible. The system provides up to three hours of material in English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, and Spanish and is included in the price of admission. Transcripts of the Acoustiguide Audio Tour script are available at the Acoustiguide desk.

  Assistive Listening Devices
Devices available for listening

Assistive listening devices (headsets and neckloops) are available for our audiovisual introduction, “The Frick Collection: An Introduction,” as well as for concerts in the Music Room. These FM devices can be picked up at the ArtPhone desk in the Lobby.

Please note: “The Frick Collection: An Introduction” is not close-captioned, but scripts of the presentation on lighted clipboards are available at the ArtPhone desk. Scripts of the presentation on lighted clipboards in regular and large print are available at the Art Phone desk.

  Sign Language Gallery Talks
Sign language interpretation is available for gallery talks

Gallery talks given on the third Friday of the months from September to June are sign language interpreted.

Wheelchair Access
Wheelchair access

The museum and library are fully accessible to visitors who use wheelchairs or walkers. (The museum and library also have wheelchairs available for visitors on a first-come / first-served basis.)

The wheelchair ramp is just to the left of the main entrance of the museum on 70th Street, through a gate labeled "Service and Office Entrance." Open the gate or call for assistance using the call box located to the left of the gate, and proceed down the ramp to the basement Receiving Room. The security staff will assist visitors in wheelchairs from the Receiving Room to the ground floor galleries or the library reading rooms via an elevator(s). An elevator is also available for visitors needing assistance from the ground floor to the lower level special exhibition galleries. A fully accessible rest room is located on the ground floor.
