No, this is not permitted. Travel luggage, camping backpacks, and garment bags are not permitted in the coatroom.
Do umbrellas, coats, packages, and backpacks need to be checked?
Free checking is provided in the
coatroom for the following items which must be checked: coats (unless they are going to be worn), packages, large umbrellas, and
large handbags. Small umbrellas may be taken into the galleries but only in bags issued by the Collection.
No, there is only street parking. There is a parking
garage at the Metropolitan Museum of Art at Fifth Avenue and
80th Street or click here for additional parking information (the window will launch nyc.bestparking.com; the blue dot is The Frick Collection; the garages are indicated by cars; detailled information is provided and rates may be calculated).

Not offered, but an audio guide available without charge with
admission, and an audiovisual presentation is available hourly on the
half hour. On the first and third Friday of the month, a gallery talk about a specific work of
art is offered at 4:30 p.m. For more information, see Gallery Talks.
The Frick Collection is pleased to provide Acoustiguide audio tours, a random-access digital audio guide that offers recorded information about the masterpieces on view through a lightweight, handheld listening device. The system, which provides up to three hours of material in English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, and Spanish, is included in the price of admission. A catalogue of related texts is available from the Museum Shop.
Certain areas are available for functions. For more information, see the Corporate Entertaining or Corporate Membership sections.
No, children under ten are not allowed in the galleries.
The Collection attempts to preserve the ambience of Mr. Frick’s
private house, and because few ropes or cases are used to protect fragile
objects, children under ten are not admitted, and those under sixteen
must be accompanied by an adult. We suggest that if two people are
coming with a child, one can wait with the child in the Reception
Hall while the other visits the galleries.
No.
On Sundays you may pay-as-you-wish between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.
We do have slides, although they are not available
through the Museum Shop online. To request a slide and check availability,
please contact sales@frick.org.
