All lectures are on Wednesdays at 6:00 p.m. unless noted otherwise and last for approximately one hour. For the schedule of upcoming lectures, see Current Season.
The lectures are open to the public without charge one half-hour before the event. If those planning to attend arrive earlier, they are expected to pay the regular gallery admission fee. For more information, see Visitor Information.
Artists, Poets, and Writers Lecture Series
We are also pleased to offer a series of lectures called the Artists, Poets, and Writers Lecture Series.Sir John Elliott, Regius Professor Emeritus of Modern History, University of Oxford, will explore the ways in which our understanding of Spain's monarchy and empire have benefited from and been changed by the interaction of historians and art historians. It is the keynote address of "The Hispanic World of Jonathan Brown," a two-day symposium jointly presented by The Frick Collection and the Institute of Fine Arts, New York University, in honor of Jonathan Brown, Carroll and Milton Petrie Professor of Fine Arts, New York University.

Gallery Conversations at The Frick Collection (Summer 2008)
The Frick Collection is pleased to offer Gallery Conversations for the public
on scheduled Sundays in July and August. Participants will study and discuss selected masterpieces in the galleries of The Frick Collection. Conversations led by Rika Burnham, Head of Education, The Frick Collection.
Sundays at noon. July 13, 20, 27 August 10, 17, 24.
The Gallery Conversations are free with museum admission but reservations are necessary. Please send an e-mail to galleryconversations@frick.org to request a reservation.
On Sundays you may pay-as-you-wish between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.
Gallery Talks
The Frick Collection is pleased to offer gallery talks at 4:30 on the first and third Friday of every month from the fall through the spring. Each twenty- to thirty-minute presentation will highlight a single work from the Frick's permanent collection. There is no additional charge for the talks and reservations are not required. The presentation given on the third Friday of each month will be sign language interpreted. For more information about programs for the hearing impaired, see Accessibility.
