The Frick Art Reference Library introduced the "Dialogues on Art" series in 2000. These panel discussions, held annually, are conceived in recognition of the variety and depth of interest represented by the community of art professionals who use and support the Library. Each panel brings together noted specialists whose free exchange of ideas on a particular subject of art history, connoisseurship, or collecting is intended to stimulate questions and fresh thoughts for audience and participants alike.
These events, whose proceeds benefit the Frick Art Reference Library, are co-sponsored by The Frick Collection and Knoedler & Company, the longest continuously operating gallery in America and the
dealer on whom Henry Clay Frick most often relied for expanding and improving his collection.
