Adam Eaker, previously Anne L. Poulet Curatorial Fellow (2013–15), is Guest Curator. He has co-curated the Frick’s exhibition Van Dyck: The Anatomy of Portraiture (March 2–June 5, 2016). A doctoral candidate at Columbia University, he is writing his dissertation on Van Dyck and Rubens; research from this project appeared as the article “Van Dyck between Master and Model” in The Art Bulletin (June 2015). He was a recipient of a Riggio Fellowship from Columbia University and a research fellowship from the Belgian American Educational Foundation, which enabled him to spend a year as a visiting scholar at the Rubenianum research center in Antwerp. He also served as a research assistant for the exhibition Varieties of Romantic Experience: Drawings from the Collection of Charles Ryskamp (Yale Center for British Art, 2010) and wrote the artist biographies for the exhibition catalogue.
