School Visits

The Frick Collection invites students in Grades 5–12, as well as college and graduate students, to explore Old Master paintings and European sculpture in the Gilded Age mansion of Henry Clay Frick.

We offer two types of school visit experiences:

Guided Visit

Guided by experienced museum educators, students will study works of art through close observation, group discussion, and interactive activities in the galleries. Visits are available in English, French, or Mandarin.

Guided Visits are offered from 10:00–11:15 a.m.
Tuesday–Friday

We accept up to 30 students in grades 5–12, and 15 students in college or graduate groups.

Unguided Visit

Students may enter the Collection and visit the galleries independently. Security will ensure that groups do not travel together through the Collection.

Unguided Visits are offered from 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Tuesday – Friday

We accept up to 30 students.

Note: Self-guided groups with outside lecturers are prohibited.

Fee Structure

Guided Visits, Grades 5-12

$150 per class* for New York City schools
$250 per class* for non-New York City schools

*Fee includes up to 30 students and 3 chaperones; additional chaperones must pay regular admission fee; if booking through a travel agency additional fees may apply.

Guided Visits, College and Graduate Studies

$200 per class**

**Fee includes up to 15 students and 1 instructor

Unguided Visits

Regular admission fees apply, except for group leader, who receives free admission

$18 per adult, $15 per senior, $10 per student

We accept all major credit cards as well as personal checks made out to The Frick Collection. No cash, please.

The Education Department will process each request in the order in which it was received and will e-mail you confirmation and payment information when the visit is scheduled.

  • Decorative Arts: Examine everyday and extraordinary objects from the Collection.
