High Profiles: Summer Portraiture Institute

Come face to face with art history! Explore the art of portraiture in High Profiles: Summer Portraiture Institute, a free five-day program for rising high school juniors, seniors, and first-year undergraduates. During this intensive program, students will encounter painters and poets, rascals and royalty, saints, soldiers, and more as they study works of art with curators and educators at The Frick Collection. Close attention will be paid to the special exhibition The Pursuit of Immortality: Masterpieces from the Scher Collection of Portrait Medals, as well as to paintings and sculpture in the permanent collection. The Summer Portraiture Institute will take place Monday, July 17, through Friday, July 21, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

This program is made possible by the Christian Keesee Charitable Trust.

The application deadline for the Summer Portraiture Institute has passed; please see Cool Classes for Hot Nights or contact students@frick.org for questions about other student programs.
