Oral and Video Histories
The Center facilitates oral and video histories of dealers and collectors who played a formative role in shaping American collecting during the twentieth century. These oral and video histories of contemporary collectors will create primary documentation for future scholars on the history of collecting in America, and, in some cases, on living artists as well.
Currently, the Center is partnering with the Archives of American Art on a two-year project to produce ten oral histories of collectors. The project is generously supported by Barbara Fleischman.
