Off-site Form

Periodicals published between 1931 and 2008 and auction catalogs published between 1996 and 2009, as well as other materials, are stored at an off-site facility. They require up to four business days for retrieval. Requests placed after 12:00 p.m. will be processed the following business day. 

You must be a registered researcher at the Frick Art Reference Library to request off-site materials. To learn about registering to use the Library, see Visit > Library > Admission.

If you are unsure when requested materials will be available to examine at the Frick Art Reference Library, call the Reference Desk at 212-547-0641 or email library@frick.org. Since items are retrieved within a fixed time period, we do not notify researchers when they arrive.

Directions

  • Search FRESCO, the online catalog, to determine if a needed item is stored offsite. The location "Frick Offsite" in the catalog indicates that an item must be requested in advance.
  • Fill out required fields(*) and relevant fields listed below.

Note: After you place your request, you should see a confirmation page. If you do not see a confirmation page, please email library@frick.org with "Form Request" in the subject line for placing an off-site request.
