Chinoiserie Silk Scarf

The design on this scarf is adapted from details of the ceiling decoration on the second floor of The Frick Collection, which was painted by J. Alden Twachtman (American, 1882–1974). The ceiling was installed in the Frick residence in 1914. The motif created for the Frick home is similar to those in other grand private American homes for which Twachtman painted murals. Twachtman was the son of the American Impressionist painter John Henry Twachtman (1853–1902)

The scarf is 100% silk and measures 34”x34”
