How can I contact the Membership Office?
You can call the Membership Office during business hours, Monday through Friday, from 9:30am–5:30pm, at 212-547-0707 or e-mail members@frick.org.

I’m a member/I’m interested in becoming a member. Where should I go when entering the museum?
The Membership Desk is located to the left of the Admissions Desk in the Reception Hall. We ask that all members stop by when they come in to get their admission ticket. Desk attendants can also answer any questions you have about membership.

 

Becoming a Member

How can I purchase a membership?
Memberships can be purchased online, at the membership desk in the museum lobby, in the Museum Shop, or by calling the Membership Office at 212-547-0707. You may also request that a membership brochure be sent to you.

For how long is my membership valid?
Memberships are valid for one year from the end of the month in which you joined. For instance, if you joined on January 15, 2016, your membership would be valid until January 31, 2017.

Can I share my membership?
If you purchase a membership that allows for more than one person, such as a Dual membership ($120), you may indicate the name for the second card. Members are welcome to share a membership, but we do ask that all mail be sent to only one address.

Does the Frick offer a senior membership?
No, we do not offer a senior citizen membership.

What will I receive in the mail as a member?
Membership cards and acknowledgment letters are sent in the mail. All members receive the Members’ Magazine and seasonal programs brochures. Invitations for special events are sent in the mail as they are scheduled, with the exception of certain Young Fellow events that are sent via e-mail. Members starting at the Sustaining Friend level ($600) will also receive one specially selected exhibition catalogue per year, usually sent in February or March.

If I join at the museum, can my ticket price for the day be applied to the cost of my new membership?
Yes. Ask the representative at the Membership Desk how you can apply an admission ticket to the cost of membership.

 

Already a Member

When will I receive my membership cards?
We ask that you allow 2-3 weeks for the processing of your membership and receipt of your membership cards.

I never received my membership cards. What should I do?
Please call the Membership Office at 212-547-0707 or e-mail members@frick.org.

I lost my membership cards. Can I get replacement cards?
Replacement cards can be sent for memberships that are still active. Please call the Membership Office at 212-547-0707 or e-mail members@frick.org.

Can I upgrade my current membership to a higher level?
Yes. Memberships can be upgraded during the current cycle by paying the difference between the two memberships. Please call the Membership Office at 212-547-0707 to arrange an additional payment. Replacement membership cards reflecting your upgraded level will be sent within 2-3 weeks.

How do I renew my membership?
Membership renewals are sent in the mail a month and a half before the expiration of the membership. You can send the renewal form back with payment in the provided envelope. You can also renew your membership online, at the membership desk, or by calling the Membership Office at 212-547-0707.

Can you e-mail me my renewal notice?
If we have an e-mail address on file for you, you will receive a renewal notice via e-mail one month prior to the expiration of your membership. It will be followed up by a paper renewal. Please e-mail members@frick.org to provide the Membership Office with your preferred e-mail.

How can I find out my member ID?
Your member ID is printed on the front of your membership card. You may be asked to provide it in order to purchase concert tickets, sign-up for education programs, or to renew your membership.

 

Events/Benefits

Can I receive information about upcoming events via e-mail?
Yes, sign up for e-news. This monthly newsletter features information about upcoming events at The Frick Collection. If you need information about upcoming member events, please e-mail members@frick.org.

Can members bring guests for free to the Frick?
All Dual members ($120) and above are welcome to bring one guest, for a total of two persons in their party. Contributing Friend members ($250) and above may bring up to four persons in their party. Members at the Individual and Student levels may not bring guests for free.

Do members get discounted admissions tickets for guests?
No. Any additional guests must purchase an admission ticket at the full price.

Do members receive discounts on public programming?
Yes. All members receive discounts on concerts and education programs. Discounts vary depending on the program.

Can I buy a ticket to an event at the Membership Desk?
No. Tickets to concerts and education programs can be purchased via our website. For information about tickets to special benefit events, such as the Autumn Dinner and Young Fellows Ball, please contact the Special Events Office at 212-991-5774 or events@frick.org.

To what special events are members invited?
All new members are invited to the New Members Reception, generally held in the spring. Members starting at the Contributing Friend level ($250) are invited to special evening exhibition viewings. Fellows ($1,200 and above) receive invitations to events with curators, including two to three gallery talks each year. All Fellows are invited to the annual Spring Garden Party. For more information about member events, contact the Membership Office at 212-547-0709.

How do I receive a schedule of upcoming Fellow ($1,200-$20,000) events?
We would be happy to email you the current calendar of Fellows events. Please contact the Membership Office at 212-547-0709 or members@frick.org.

Can I schedule a private tour?
Tours for up to four people, which include rarely seen areas such as the second floor and bowling alley, are complimentary for Contributing Fellows ($2,500) and above. Please call the Membership Office at 212-547-0709 to schedule your tour.

Can I use my membership at any other institutions or museums?
The Frick belongs to two reciprocal networks. Members starting at the Contributing Friend level ($250) are enrolled in the Art Museum Reciprocal Network, which provides admission to 38 museums. Members at the Sustaining Friend level ($600) and above are enrolled in the North American Reciprocal Museums Network, which offers admission to over 500 museums in the United States, Canada, and Central America.

Is my membership tax deductible?
Yes. The Student ($25), Individual ($75), and Dual ($120) memberships are all fully tax deductible. All other memberships are partially tax deductible.

Is The Frick Collection associated with the Frick Art and Historical Center in Pittsburgh?
While both The Frick Collection and the Frick Art and Historical Center are housed in former homes of Henry Clay Frick, they are independent institutions. We do, however, offer reciprocal admission to the Frick Pittsburgh for members at the Contributing Friend level ($250) and above.

How do I update my contact information?

The Frick never shares our members’ information with other organizations.

Does the Frick participate in corporate matching gift programs?
Yes. If your company has a matching gift program, please complete the required form and mail it to the Membership Office: The Frick Collection, 1 East 70th Street, New York, NY 10021. Contact the Membership Office at 212-547-0709 for more information.

Does the Frick have a Library Museum Pass Program?
Yes. We currently offer libraries a membership equivalent to the Dual membership for $120. Libraries receive two membership cards, each good for the admission of one adult, the Members’ Magazine, and the seasonal program brochure. The distribution of the membership cards is at the discretion of the library.

How many people get into the museum with a library membership?
Each library membership card is good for the admission of one adult.
