Supporters of the Frick and their friends annually look forward to the Young Fellows Ball, now in its fifteenth year and one of the most highly regarded and widely covered social events of the New York season. This year’s Celestial Ball, on Thursday, March 13, was sponsored by designer fashion house PAULE KA, and took its inspiration from the special exhibition Renaissance and Baroque Bronzes from the Hill Collection and from the Frick’s holdings, many of which depict celestial and mythological themes.

Although the temperature outside was in the teens, the atmosphere inside the museum was that of a warm summer night under the stars. About 600 guests, many adorned in flowing white gowns, bejeweled accessories or in the evening’s shades of navy and silver, filled the elegant Garden Court and Music Room for cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and dancing to music spun by DJ Jason Fioto.

Guests received a gift bag and leather keychain from PAULE KA. Products from Chantecaille Beauté, Financier Patisserie, Tervis Tumbler Co., and the Frick’s Museum Shop were included as well.

Champagne was provided by Louis Roederer, Organic Spirit by American Harvest, and Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars provided KARIA Chardonnay Napa Valley and Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc.

Proceeds from the benefit provide essential support for the Frick’s education program, which serves New York City public schools in all five boroughs, and for the Frick Art Reference Library.
