Arranging a Group Visit
Arrangements for unguided group visits should be made at least two weeks in advance by telephone (212-288-0700), fax (212-628-4417) or e-mail (firstname.lastname@example.org). Group visits may be scheduled Tuesday through Saturday. We regret that group reservations cannot be accepted for Saturdays after 12 noon or Sundays.
To arrange a guided visit for adults, please select Private Tours.
School Groups in grades 5–12, as well as college and graduate students, should click here for the School Visit Request Form.
Please note that we are unable to accommodate, at one time, groups of more than forty.
Because of space restrictions and the desire to maintain the ambience of a private home, guided tours or lecturing in the galleries are not allowed during regular museum hours.
Visitors are requested to circulate informally in order to reduce congestion in the galleries. We recommend that groups scheduling visits to study a specific work of art inquire as to its status, since paintings and objects may be temporarily removed from exhibition.
Lectures on more specialized subjects, often related to art in the Collection, are presented from October through May. Schedules are available in advance. Although it is not possible to reserve places for these lectures, seats are usually available.
Introduction to The Frick Collection, an eleven-minute presentation produced and directed by award-winning filmmaker Christopher Noey, is shown regularly to the public in the Music Room every twenty minutes, beginning at 10:20 a.m., with the last showing at 5:00 p.m. For more information, see Audiovisual Introduction or see the video online.
Publications especially recommended for visiting groups are the Guide to Works of Art on Exhibition ($2.00) and the Handbook of Paintings ($14.95). These may be ordered from the Museum Shop prior to your visit.
