The Frick Collection is an art museum consisting of more than 1,400 works of art from the thirteenth to the nineteenth century, displayed in the intimate surroundings of the former home of Henry Clay Frick. The residence, with its furnishings and works of art, has been open to the public since 1935. It is one of the world's most perfect museums; its sister research institution the Frick Art Reference Library is of equal distinction.
Position Summary and Qualifications
Provide a/v support for live lectures, concerts, other special events.
Successful candidates will have past A/V experience, preferably in a live context, or some familiarity with audio engineering and an interest to learn more.
Applicant should be detail oriented and able to follow complex directions well. We require excellent communication skills and ability to interact well with colleagues and clients at all levels.High school grad/GED required. Technical training/experience preferred. We are searching for an enthusiastic and energetic colleague who is interested in learning all aspects of set-up and execution for live audio/visual.
Work Hours and Compensation
Hours and work days vary but are generally expected to be 4 hour shifts evenings and weekends. Events are scheduled in advance, and we can provide about 1 week notice to schedule the A/V Support person for a shift.
Compensation: $45 per hour.
