The Interpretive Fellowship
Since 2009, the Interpretive Fellowship in Museum Education at The Frick Collection has provided a unique opportunity for early-career museum professionals to study and practice the art of teaching in an art museum. The first of its kind at any American art museum, the fellowship recognized the critical role of gallery teachers in museum education and supported the future leaders of the field.
The recipient of the Interpretive Fellowship develops a broad knowledge of the Collection as well as fluency in issues related to museum pedagogy. In addition, the fellow joins the Frick's Education staff and assumes significant teaching responsibilities on behalf of the institution.
