Annabelle Selldorf: Mansion to Museum

On June 4, 2025, Annabelle Selldorf, principal and lead designer of Selldorf Architects and co-author of A Design for Continuity and Change: The Frick Collection, discussed the creative process and design philosophy that shaped the renovation and enhancement of the Frick’s historic buildings.

This talk inaugurated a lecture series titled Mansion to Museum, exploring the people, art, and architecture of The Frick Collection. Lectures in this series, held in the museum’s new Stephen A. Schwarzman Auditorium, feature authors of forthcoming publications on the Frick’s historic buildings and newly created spaces.
