Closer Look: Longcase Regulator Clock
In this episode of Closer Look, Joselyn Garcia, Ayesha Bulchandani Undergraduate Education Intern, discusses an eighteenth-century longcase regulator clock from the workshops of Balthazar Lieutaud, Philippe Caffiéri, and Ferdinand Berthoud on display at Frick Madison. Joselyn examines the clock's functions and the classical motifs adorning it, including a three-dimensional bronze sculpture of Apollo. This is the final episode in a series of three, featuring the Education Department's 2021 summer interns each taking an in-depth look at one object in our collection.
