Louis Vuitton Sponsorship

The Frick Collection is deeply grateful to Louis Vuitton for its generous support as a principal cultural sponsor in 2026–28.

The three-year sponsorship provides vital funding for three integral areas of the Frick’s mission: exhibitions, public programming, and art historical research. This unique sponsorship reflects the Frick and Louis Vuitton’s shared commitment to cultural experiences of the highest quality.

The sponsorship areas are detailed below. Read more in our press release.

Louis Vuitton First Fridays

From June 2026 through May 2027, the Frick’s series of free evenings is sponsored as Louis Vuitton First Fridays. The series, relaunched in spring 2026, offers after-hours time in the galleries, live music, talks, refreshments, and more. The sponsorship underwrites this popular program for one year, helping increase public access to the Frick.

Support for Three Dynamic Exhibitions

Louis Vuitton is also lead sponsor of three major special exhibitions at the Frick: Siena: The Art of Bronze, 1450–1500 (fall 2026 to winter 2027), Painting with Fire: Susanne de Court and the Art of Enamel (spring to summer 2027), and a yet-to-be-announced monographic exhibition of nineteenth-century paintings (late 2027 to early 2028). This incredible support helps make possible these three significant gallery presentations.

New Two-Year Curatorial Position

Finally, the sponsorship creates a two-year position: the Louis Vuitton Curatorial Research Associate. The position is held by Yifu Liu, the Frick’s 2024–26 Anne L. Poulet Curatorial Fellow, who organized the Ruffles & Ribbons exhibition and whose research investigates cultural exchange between Europe and China in the eighteenth century. Among other projects, Liu has been bringing long-overdue attention to the Frick’s extensive holdings of Asian porcelain.
