The Frick is pleased to announce the promotion of Colin B. Bailey to the position of Associate Director and Peter Jay Sharp Chief Curator, in official recognition of his achievements and expanded responsibilities. Comments Director Anne L. Poulet, “Since 2000, Colin has overseen the Curatorial, Conservation, Education, Registration, and Publications Departments. Over the years, we have watched his dynamic and thoughtful vision of interpreting and caring for the Frick and its mansion blossom. From the initial conception of critically acclaimed exhibitions and catalogues of high quality and importance such as Memling’s Portraits; Jean-Étienne Liotard (1702–1789): Swiss Master; and Gabriel de Saint-Aubin (1724–1780) to his involvement in cultivating vital connections with scholars, institutions, lenders, supporters, and foundations, Colin B. Bailey is at the core of a wonderful and exciting era at the Frick.”
