Honoring the Past and Enhancing the Future
The guiding principle of the Frick’s renovation project is to “honor the past and enhance the future.” In this special inside look, Carolyn Straub, architect and Associate Director for Capital Projects, reflects on how the Frick Archives have provided vital insights every step of the way. The Archives—which contain incredibly rich materials related to the historic Frick mansion’s construction and evolution—have served as a resource and an inspiration, informing details both small and large including our own current documentation of renovation stories.
