The Frick’s Oasis Reborn
In the final episode of Renovation Stories, go to the heart of the revitalized Frick Collection with Luisa Herrera, Senior Manager for Capital Projects. Luisa dives into the meticulous restoration of the Garden Court fountain, a source of refreshment amid the museum’s galleries. EverGreene Architectural Arts—together with the Frick’s conservation team overseen by former and current Chief Conservators Joseph Godla and Julia Day—repaired the historic fountain and carefully cleaned its stonework and that of the surrounding courtyard, all enhanced by a restored laylight and skylight. Visitors are invited to enjoy the new glow of the Garden Court, a centerpiece of the museum’s tranquil experience.
