To help support efforts to contain the spread of COVID-19 and to ensure the health and well-being of our public and staff, The Frick Collection temporarily closed its galleries and library in March 2020.
The Frick will soon embark on its first major renovation in eighty-five years, with pre-construction preparations beginning this fall. It will reopen to the public in early 2021 at Frick Madison at 945 Madison Avenue, the institution's temporary location for the duration of the project.
We will continue to post updates to this page and to share news about museum and library activities by email and through our social media channels.
Open Online to a Global Audience
We invite you to subscribe to our e-news list to enjoy our “Frick at Your Fingertips” email, which provides news and information about our expanding online programs, all offered free to the public. These include a new video series featuring curator-led conversations, online visits for school groups, and art-making activities inspired by the permanent collection. Learn more about ways to engage remotely at “Frick Connections.”
In addition, the Frick Art Reference Library has created several online programs, including free webinars to help researchers learn innovative ways to remotely access books and images not only from the Frick but from other library collections around the world.
